HOW TO MOTIVATE THE 4x4 COMMUNITY?

We have been at this effort of working to improve the relationship and perception of the 4x4 community and great strides have been made. It seems that there is often enthusiasm for quick results but little interest in the long haul. While a number of us have dedicated time, money, sweat and a little blood to the effort, H4x4A needs to better understand on how to get the masses motivated and concerned enough to get more involved. I often think that this will occur once we can bring to the community a major victory for access. We have made tremendous in roads with DLNR leadership and staff. We have partnered with the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Sand Island ORV Park to help develop the 4x4 area (which is twice as big as the original one). We are looking to partner with another community organization to possible gain access to trails on the north shore area and act as a responsible partner in helping to maintain the land. We have members who are working to develop and plan 4x4 competitions. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

So what do we need? What are your ideas and input? The forum on H4x4A is there for you to share ideas and build a greater social network. We have a fan site on Facebook and a Twitter site and jsut added a YouTube site also.

We need you and every friend you have that enjoys 4 wheeling. We need you to support our efforts in little ways by joining for only $10/yr, purchase gear at www.cafepress.com/h4x4a, develop a fund raiser, become a public affairs rep for H4x4A, develop events for members, write to your representatives and senators to let them know you want trails of all types on all islands.

This effort has been for all of you who love to wheel. Please support it before we lose all access. Stand up and show your support!
